How we help you travel better
Full-service travel planning, tailored to you. Whether you know exactly where you’re going or need help figuring it out, we’ll take it from here.

Cruises
The world, one port at a time
Cruising is one of the best ways to see more of the world without the hassle of planning every stop yourself. We work with nearly every major cruise line — from large-scale sailings with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity to river cruises with AmaWaterways and Viking, luxury voyages with Silversea and Regent Seven Seas, and expedition lines like Hurtigruten and Ponant.
Not sure where to start? That’s normal — the number of options can be overwhelming. We have firsthand experience sailing everything from mainstream lines to ultra-luxury voyages, including an expedition cruise around Antarctica, so we can give you honest comparisons based on real trips. We’ll narrow it down based on what matters to you: itinerary, ship size, dining style, budget, or whether you want to wake up in a new port every morning or spend a full day at sea.
How we’re paid: suppliers usually pay us a commission, so our planning is typically free to you — and it never changes which option we recommend. If a fee ever applies, we’ll tell you first.
What we handle
- Cabin selection and comparison across cruise lines
- Shore excursion planning
- Drink and specialty dining packages
- Pre- and post-cruise hotel stays and transfers
- Group cruise coordination
- Travel insurance guidance — so you’re covered if plans change

Hotels & Resorts
The right property, not just a room
The right accommodation makes or breaks a trip. We don’t just book rooms — we help you find the right property for the experience you’re after. We work with a wide range of hotel and resort partners, including Sandals and Beaches Resorts, Disney and Universal destinations, all-inclusive properties across the Caribbean and Mexico, and boutique hotels in cities from Lisbon to Tokyo.
Online reviews only tell part of the story. With firsthand experience at properties across the Caribbean and Europe, we know which ones actually deliver on their promise, which rooms to avoid, and how to get the most value out of your stay — including perks like a room upgrade or resort credit when a supplier offers them — extras you wouldn’t get booking on your own. Whether you’re planning a romantic couples' trip, a family holiday with kids in tow, or an adults-only escape, we’ve been there and can point you in the right direction.
How we’re paid: suppliers usually pay us a commission, so our planning is typically free to you. If a fee ever applies, we’ll tell you first.
What we handle
- Property research and comparison
- Room category recommendations based on your priorities
- Competitive rates and added perks through preferred partnerships
- Special occasion arrangements (honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays)
- Disney and Universal vacation planning — tickets, dining, park strategy, and on-site resort bookings
- Travel insurance guidance — protecting your investment if the unexpected happens

Flights
Flights without the dozen open tabs
Booking flights shouldn’t mean a dozen open tabs and a spreadsheet. We won’t always beat a bare economy fare you turn up yourself — and on a simple route we’ll tell you to just book it. Where we earn it is the complicated stuff: multi-city routing, smart connections, the fare rules that bite you later, and getting you rebooked fast when an airline melts down.
We know the major airline alliances inside out — oneworld, Star Alliance, SkyTeam — and can advise on which loyalty programs actually reward your travel patterns, not just which ones have the flashiest marketing.
Even if flights are the only thing you need help with, that works too. You don’t need to book an entire vacation to work with us — if you want help untangling a complicated multi-city route, working an award ticket, or fixing a booking when plans change, we’re happy to help.
How we’re paid: suppliers usually pay us a commission, so our planning is typically free to you. If a fee ever applies, we’ll tell you first.
What we handle
- Fare comparison across airlines and booking classes
- Seat selection and upgrade guidance
- Complex itineraries and multi-city routing
- Loyalty program strategy and credit card point optimization
- Rebooking assistance when things change
- Travel insurance — because flight disruptions happen, and being covered matters

Travel insurance
Protect the trip you’ve planned
We strongly recommend travel insurance for every trip, and we’ll help you find the right policy. Plans can cover trip cancellation, medical emergencies abroad, lost luggage, flight disruptions, and more — and they’re often far more affordable than people expect.
We’ll walk you through your options and help you understand what’s covered so there are no surprises. It’s one of the easiest ways to keep a delay or a cancellation from costing you the whole trip.
Already booked? We can still help.
Transfer your booking to Farholm
If you’ve already booked a trip directly with a cruise line, hotel, or resort and haven’t yet made your final payment, you may be able to transfer that booking to Farholm at no extra cost. Once transferred, we’ll manage everything from there — monitoring for price drops or cabin upgrades, handling special requests, coordinating add-ons, and being your point of contact if anything changes before or during your trip.
It’s a simple process, and it means you get the benefit of a dedicated travel advisor even on a trip you’ve already started planning. Get in touch and we’ll let you know if your booking is eligible.
Common questions
Booking questions, answered straight
When is the deposit due, and when do I pay the rest?
Most trips are held with a deposit at booking, with the balance due at final payment. For cruises that’s typically 75 to 120 days before sailing, depending on the line and the length; hotels, resorts, and tour packages each set their own schedules. Because every supplier’s dates differ, we confirm yours before you book — and track them so a deadline never sneaks up on you.
What happens if I need to cancel or change a trip?
You contact us, and we handle it with the supplier. Refund and penalty windows are set by each cruise line, hotel, and airline — and they get stricter as departure approaches — so we walk you through those terms before you book, not after. It’s also exactly the risk travel insurance exists to cover.
Can Farholm arrange travel insurance?
Yes. We recommend insurance for every trip and will help you compare policies — trip cancellation, medical care abroad, missed connections, lost luggage — so you understand what’s covered before you buy. It’s usually more affordable than people expect.
Do you plan group trips — a family reunion, a wedding, a friends’ getaway?
Yes, and groups are where an advisor earns their keep: cabins or rooms near each other, dining together, and one person keeping every traveler’s details straight instead of a dozen separate bookings. Group rates and amenities vary by cruise line and resort, so we’ll tell you what a given sailing or property actually offers.
Who do I actually pay — Farholm or the travel supplier?
The supplier. For trips we book, your card is charged directly by the cruise line, hotel, or airline — Farholm acts as your agent, not the merchant. The supplier pays our commission out of its side of the booking, which is why your price stays the same as booking direct.
Not sure what you need? That’s fine.
Reach out and tell us what you’re thinking — a destination, a feeling, a rough budget, anything. We’ll take it from there. No cost, no commitment.
