The map behind the advice
When we say a resort sits on the wrong side of the island, or that one cruise port deserves a full day while another deserves an hour, it’s because Jake has stood there. Seven continents, dozens of countries and territories, a few dozen ships — from mainstream Caribbean megaships to an expedition vessel along the Antarctic Peninsula.
The southernmost line on this map is the trip clients ask about most: a charter flight from Punta Arenas, Chile to King George Island, then south by expedition ship. If it’s on your list, here’s how we plan it.
